CHARTER
COMMUNITY CENTER PHASE TWO PLANNING COMMITTEE

COMMITTEE:         Community Center Phase Two Planning Committee

TYPE:            Ad Hoc Committee

PURPOSE:    To work as a liaison between the community and the Board of Directors to identify and make recommendations for additional uses of the Roxborough Community Center and the surrounding Haney Park area

FUNDING:
          None

COMPOSITION:    The Committee will have a Chairperson or Co-Chairs and additional volunteer members.  The names and phone numbers of all Committee members must be provided to the office by the Chairperson upon appointment to the Committee.

SCOPE OF DUTIES:      The Committee will:
  1. Study, price, and provide recommendations for use of the lower level of the Roxborough Community Center keeping the results of the 2009 Survey in mind.

  2. Study, price, and provide recommendations for any other facilities/uses in the Community Center or Haney Park.

  3. To actively participate in the community survey process following the collection of community survey data.  The Committee will work with the Long Range Planning Committee and designate one of its members to be a member of the Long Range Planning Committee, and the Board of Directors to develop a master plan and budgetary strategy that would meet the wants and expectations of the community.

COMPLETION DATE:    As determined by the Committee and the Board.

REPORTING:      The Committee will report to the General Manager.  The committee will submit a written report to the General Manager at the conclusion of each Committee meeting for distribution to other Committee Chairpersons and to the Board.   Foundation staff support will only be provided by the GM.  Committee will interface with the GM on all issues.

FUNDING:    Funds are to be expended only through the General Manager with the prior budget approval of the Board of Directors.

FOUNDATION STAFF SUPPORT:  Foundation staff support may only be utilized with prior approval of the General Manager.

AUTHORITY:  Committees will interface with the General manager on all issues.  Committees offer recommendations to the Board through the General Manager.  Final decisions for the committee recommendations are made by the Board of Directors as the elected representatives of the community.

PARTICIPATION ON LONG RANGE PLANNING COMMITTEE:  One representative from the committee, chosen by the Committee, will participate as a member of the Long Range Planning Committee.
